About Betta

Why I built this app.

I was re-reading the same notes every night before exams and still blanking on everything the next morning. It felt like pouring water into a leaky bucket.

Then I found out about spaced repetition. The idea is simple: you review things right before you're about to forget them. That's it. It sounds obvious, but the timing makes all the difference — reviewing at the right moment locks things in far better than grinding through the same page over and over.

The problem was the tools. Anki is powerful, but setting it up feels like a part-time job. Quizlet is fine, but the scheduling is a black box. I wanted something that got out of the way.

So I built Betta. You snap a photo of your notes. It turns them into flashcards. And it shows you exactly when each card is due — no guessing, no algorithm hiding in the dark.

They say goldfish have a three-second memory. A betta fish? Well, it's just a bit betta.

Thanks for giving it a try.
